For years I felt that the solution to my problems was somewhere out there. For example I was always looking for the dream job, a better place to live or the perfect mate. I wanted to change my life but had no clue how. Have you been in this situation? One day a friend pointed out to me that Jesus said " Luke 17:20-21
...The kingdom of God cometh not with observation: Neither shall they say, Lo here! or, lo there! for, behold, the kingdom of God is within you."
Mary Baker Eddy in her main work Science and Health points out that the Kingdom of Heaven is "The reign of harmony"(596:1) So I realized that it was not something out there that needed changing but something in me. What in me that needed changing was my thinking? I prayed to see myself the way God did. God is love and I am in the image and likeness of this love. Everything then that I needed for my happiness was within me right now because God had already given to me as His beloved child.
The more I began to claim my oneness with God's love I began to become more satisfied with what I already had and I began to find peace within me.

- Christian Science has blessed me throughout my life. As a young boy I did not walk or speak until I was around three years old when I was healed in Christian Science. I began to study Christian Science more seriously on my own when I was 16 years old. I saw how prayer alone healed me of asthma as well as a eye injury. After highschool I enlisted for four years in the United States Air Force. In 1969 I was sent to Vietnam for one year. During my four years of service I had opportunities to put Christian Science into practice. I had many healings as well as proofs of protection. After the service I went to college with a BA degree. As a high school student I was labeled with a learning disability. Through my study of Christian Science I learned that my intelligence came from God. I received better grades in college then I did in high school. A few months after college, I started my career in the healing ministry first as a Christian Science Nurse and in the last few years as a Christian Science Practitioner. I have been listed in the Christian Science Journal since 1980. I have been married to my wife Susanne for the past seventeen years.
